Trusts, Wills and Estates, Guardianships

We have over 35 years experience helping clients develop and administer Will- and Trust-based estate plans. Creating a comprehensive estate plan, including powers of attorney and advance medical directives, is an important step to ensure that your personal and financial wishes are understood and followed.

Is a Will or Trust better for you? We take the time to speak with you about your personal and business assets, family relationships and how you want your estate passed on to your beneficiaries. We answer all your questions to make the entire process understandable. Then we develop an estate plan that accomplishes your goals in a tax-advantaged way.

If you use a Trust-based plan, we provide an important additional service that many firms do not. Completing a Trust is a two-step process. The first step is drafting the documents to create the Trust. The second step, and one which many individuals and firms fail to follow through on, is transferring your assets to the Trust. We prepare the documents needed to complete these transfers, including deeds, stock transfers and assignments. We also have extensive experience assisting trustees, administrators and personal representatives in administering trusts and probate estates.

In addition to estate planning and administration, we prepare documentation regarding future healthcare decisions, including living wills, appointment of health care agents and durable powers of attorney. If a family member is in need of guardianship protection, we can petition for your appointment as Guardian and assist you in administering the guardianship estate.

Many of our services are provided on a flat-fee basis.
